Pomodoro Timer

Twenty-five minutes of work, a five-minute break, a longer break after every fourth round. No sign-up, nothing stored, and it keeps time correctly in a background tab.

25:00

Timer paused

No pomodoros finished yet.

The rules the timer does not enforce

A timer is the easy half of the technique. The parts people skip are the ones that make it work: write the task down before you start, record interruptions on paper instead of acting on them, and never extend a pomodoro to finish something — an interval that stretches is just working with extra steps.

The break matters too. Reaching for a phone during a five-minute break replaces one attention-demanding task with another and leaves you no more recovered than when you started.
