Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Chunks Microlearning mobile application ("the App") or the website at chunks.app ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Description of Service

Chunks Microlearning is an educational mobile application that provides bite-sized learning content across subjects including history, philosophy, literature, science, art, music, nature, and health. The service includes text-based stories, audio narration, and related educational features. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Subscriptions and Payments

Chunks offers free access to a selection of stories. Full access to the content library requires a paid subscription or one-time purchase:

• Monthly subscription: Recurring payment billed monthly. Renews automatically until cancelled.
• Annual subscription: Recurring payment billed annually at a discounted rate. Renews automatically until cancelled.
• Lifetime access: A one-time payment granting permanent access to the full content library, including all future content.

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to the respective store's terms and conditions. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings:

• iOS: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Chunks
• Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Chunks

Upon cancellation, you retain access to premium content until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. For lifetime access purchases, refund eligibility is determined by the applicable app store's refund policy.

User Accounts

You may use certain features of the App without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it as necessary. You may request deletion of your account at any time through the App settings or by emailing hello@chunks.app.

User Conduct

You may only use our services for lawful purposes. You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or systems; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use automated tools to scrape or extract content; redistribute, republish, or resell any content from the App without written permission; or use the service in any way that could harm, disable, or impair its operation.

Intellectual Property

All content within the App and Website — including text, stories, audio narration, graphics, logos, images, character cards, and software — is the property of Chunks Microlearning or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any content without our express written permission.

Content Accuracy

We strive to ensure that all educational content is accurate and well-researched. Our content goes through a multi-step editorial process including fact-checking against primary and secondary sources. However, we do not warrant that all content is error-free. If you believe any content contains an inaccuracy, please contact us at hello@chunks.app so we can review and correct it.

Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using our services, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chunks Microlearning shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law survive termination.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were most recently revised. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email where possible.
