Chunks Microlearning is committed to producing accurate, well-researched educational content. This page describes how we research, write, fact-check, and maintain the content in our app and on our blog.

Research Process

Every piece of content published on Chunks goes through a structured research process:

• Primary sources first: We prioritise primary sources, academic publications, and established reference works. When covering historical events, we consult original texts and peer-reviewed scholarship.
• Multiple sources: Key claims are cross-referenced against at least two independent sources before publication.
• Expert review: Content in specialised domains is reviewed by individuals with relevant subject-matter expertise.
• Recency: We favour the most current scholarly consensus and update content when new research supersedes older findings.

Fact-Checking

Before any content is published in the Chunks app or on our blog, it undergoes the following checks:

• Dates, names, and statistics are verified against authoritative sources.
• Quotations are checked against original texts where available.
• Scientific claims are validated against peer-reviewed research.
• Content is reviewed for logical consistency and balanced presentation of competing viewpoints where relevant.

AI Usage Policy

We believe in transparency about how artificial intelligence is used in our content creation process:

• AI as a tool, not a source: AI may be used to assist with drafting, structuring, and editing content. It is never treated as a primary source of factual information.
• Human oversight: All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by a human editor before publication.
• Source verification: Any claim surfaced by AI tooling is independently verified against primary or secondary sources before inclusion.
• No fabricated citations: We do not publish AI-generated references or citations without verifying that the source exists and supports the claim.

Corrections Policy

We take errors seriously. When we identify or are notified of a factual error:

• Prompt correction: Errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, typically within 48 hours.
• Transparency: Significant corrections to blog posts are noted with an update timestamp. In-app content is updated directly.
• Reader reports: If you spot an error in any of our content, please contact us at hello@chunks.app or visit our support page. We appreciate corrections and credit contributors when appropriate.

Editorial Independence

Our content is produced independently. We do not accept payment for coverage of any product, service, or idea. When we mention third-party apps, books, or resources, it is based on editorial judgement, not commercial relationships. Any sponsored or affiliate content will be clearly labelled as such.
